The 1975 St. Louis Cardinals finished with a record of 82-80. They scored 662 runs and belted 81 home runs to go along with a .273 batting average. Reggie Smith provided the power for the team with 19 homers. The offense was powered by Ted Simmons, who led the team with 100 RBI and 193 hits. Lou Brock had a great year on the basepaths with 56 stolen bases.

The team allowed 689 runs and had a team ERA of 3.58. Bob Forsch and Lynn McGlothen were tied for the team lead in wins with 15. Lynn McGlothen struck out 146 batters to lead the team. Al Hrabosky was the team's best fireman, with 22 saves.
