The 1975 Boston Red Sox season involved the Red Sox finishing 1st in the American League East with a record of 95 wins and 65 losses. Following a sweep of the Oakland Athletics in the ALCS, the Red Sox lost the World Series to the Cincinnati Reds in 7 games (similar to 1946 and 1967). The lone bright spot for the Sox was Carlton Fisk's famous walk-off home run in game 6.
