The 1974 Pittsburgh Pirates finished with a record of 88-74. They scored 751 runs and belted 114 home runs to go along with a .274 batting average. Willie Stargell provided the power for the team with 25 homers. Richie Zisk was the best run producer with 100 RBI. Al Oliver led the team with 198 hits for a .321 average.

The team allowed 657 runs and had a team ERA of 3.51. Jerry Reuss led the team with 16 wins. Jim Rooker struck out 139 batters to lead the team. Dave Giusti led the team with 12 saves.
