The 1974 Chicago Cubs finished with a record of 66-96. They scored 669 runs and belted 110 home runs to go along with a .251 batting average. Rick Monday led the team in home runs with 20. Jerry Morales was the best run producer with 82 RBI. Jose Cardenal led the team with 159 hits for a .293 average.

The team allowed 826 runs and had a team ERA of 4.30. Rick Reuschel was the winningest pitcher, with 13 games won. Bill Bonham led the team with 191 strikeouts. Oscar Zamora was the team's best fireman, with 10 saves.
