The 1970 St. Louis Cardinals finished with a record of 76-86. They scored 744 runs and belted 113 home runs to go along with a .263 batting average. The offense was powered by Dick Allen, who led the team with 34 home runs and 101 RBI. Joe Torre led the team with 203 hits for a .325 average. Lou Brock had a great year on the basepaths with 51 stolen bases.

The team allowed 747 runs and had a team ERA of 4.06. Bob Gibson led the pitching staff with 23 wins and 274 strikeouts.
