The 1969 Pittsburgh Pirates finished with a record of 88-74. They scored 725 runs and belted 119 home runs to go along with a .277 batting average. The offense was powered by Willie Stargell, who led the team with 29 home runs and 92 RBI. Matty Alou led the team with 231 hits for a .331 average.

The team allowed 652 runs and had a team ERA of 3.61. Leading the team in wins was Steve Blass, with 16. Bob Veale racked up 213 strkeouts to lead the team. Chuck Hartenstein led the team with 10 saves.
