The 1969 Kansas City Royals finished with a record of 69-93. They scored 586 runs and belted 98 home runs to go along with a .240 batting average. Ed Kirkpatrick provided the power for the team with 14 homers. Joe Foy was the best run producer with 71 RBI. Lou Piniella led the team with 139 hits for a .282 average. Pat Kelly had a great year on the basepaths with 40 stolen bases.

The team allowed 688 runs and had a team ERA of 3.72. Wally Bunker led the team with 12 wins. Bill Butler racked up 156 strkeouts to lead the team. Moe Drabowsky was the team's best fireman, with 11 saves.
