The 1969 Houston Astros finished with a record of 81-81. They scored 676 runs and belted 104 home runs to go along with a .240 batting average. Jim Wynn led the team in home runs with 33. The offense was powered by Denis Menke, who led the team with 90 RBI and 149 hits. Joe Morgan had a great year on the basepaths with 49 stolen bases.

The team allowed 668 runs and had a team ERA of 3.60. Larry Dierker was the winningest pitcher, with 20 games won. Don Wilson struck out 235 batters to lead the team. Fred Gladding was the team's best fireman, with 29 saves.
