The 1968 Pittsburgh Pirates finished with a record of 80-82. They scored 583 runs and belted 80 home runs to go along with a .252 batting average. Willie Stargell led the team in home runs with 24. Donn Clendenon was the best run producer with 87 RBI. Matty Alou led the team with 185 hits for a .332 average. Maury Wills had a great year on the basepaths with 52 stolen bases.

The team allowed 532 runs and had a team ERA of 2.74. Steve Blass was the winningest pitcher, with 18 games won. Bob Veale led the team with 171 strikeouts. Roy Face led the team with 13 saves.
