The 1968 New York Yankees finished with a record of 83-79. They scored 536 runs and belted 109 home runs to go along with a .214 batting average. Mickey Mantle provided the power for the team with 18 homers. The offense was powered by Roy White, who led the team with 62 RBI and 154 hits.

The team allowed 531 runs and had a team ERA of 2.79. Leading the team in wins was Mel Stottlemyre, with 21. Stan Bahnsen struck out 162 batters to lead the team. Steve Hamilton led the team with 11 saves.
