The 1966 St. Louis Cardinals finished with a record of 83-79. They scored 571 runs and belted 108 home runs to go along with a .251 batting average. Orlando Cepeda provided the power for the team with 17 homers. Curt Flood knocked in 78 runs. Lou Brock led the team with 183 hits for a .285 average. Lou Brock had a great year on the basepaths with 74 stolen bases.

The team allowed 577 runs and had a team ERA of 3.11. Bob Gibson led the pitching staff with 21 wins and 225 strikeouts. Joe Hoerner was the team's best fireman, with 13 saves.
