The 1965 Cincinnati Reds finished with a record of 89-73. They scored 825 runs and belted 183 home runs to go along with a .273 batting average. Frank Robinson led the team in home runs with 33. Deron Johnson was the best run producer with 130 RBI. Pete Rose led the team with 209 hits for a .312 average. Tommy Harper had a great year on the basepaths with 35 stolen bases.

The team allowed 704 runs and had a team ERA of 3.88. Sammy Ellis was the winningest pitcher, with 22 games won. Jim Maloney struck out 244 batters to lead the team. Billy McCool was the team's best fireman, with 21 saves.
