The 1964 Chicago Cubs finished with a record of 76-86. They scored 649 runs and belted 145 home runs to go along with a .251 batting average. The offense was powered by Billy Williams, who led the team with 33 home runs and 201 hits. Ron Santo knocked in 114 runs.

The team allowed 724 runs and had a team ERA of 4.08. Larry Jackson led the team with 24 wins. Dick Ellsworth and Larry Jackson were tied for the team lead in strikeouts with 148. Lindy McDaniel was the team's best fireman, with 15 saves.
