The 1962 Chicago Cubs finished with a record of 59-103. They scored 632 runs and belted 126 home runs to go along with a .253 batting average. The offense was powered by Ernie Banks, who led the team with 37 home runs and 104 RBI. Billy Williams led the team with 184 hits for a .298 average.

The team allowed 827 runs and had a team ERA of 4.54. Bob Buhl was the winningest pitcher, with 12 games won. Dick Ellsworth racked up 113 strkeouts to lead the team.
