The 1961 Los Angeles Angels finished with a record of 70-91. They scored 744 runs and belted 189 home runs to go along with a .245 batting average. Leon Wagner provided the power for the team with 28 homers. Ken Hunt was the best run producer with 84 RBI. Lee Thomas led the team with 128 hits for a .284 average.

The team allowed 784 runs and had a team ERA of 4.31. Ken McBride led the pitching staff with 12 wins and 180 strikeouts. Art Fowler led the team with 11 saves.
