The 1961 Baltimore Orioles finished with a record of 95-67. They scored 691 runs and belted 149 home runs to go along with a .254 batting average. The offense was powered by Jim Gentile, who led the team with 46 home runs and 141 RBI. Brooks Robinson led the team with 192 hits for a .287 average.

The team allowed 588 runs and had a team ERA of 3.22. Steve Barber led the team with 18 wins. Chuck Estrada struck out 160 batters to lead the team. Hoyt Wilhelm was the team's best fireman, with 18 saves.
