The 1959 St. Louis Cardinals finished with a record of 71-83. They scored 641 runs and belted 118 home runs to go along with a .269 batting average. The offense was powered by Ken Boyer, who led the team with 28 home runs and 94 RBI. Don Blasingame led the team with 178 hits for a .289 average.

The team allowed 725 runs and had a team ERA of 4.34. Larry Jackson and Lindy McDaniel were tied for the team lead in wins with 14. Larry Jackson struck out 145 batters to lead the team. Lindy McDaniel led the team with 15 saves.
