The 1955 Washington Senators finished with a record of 53-101. They scored 598 runs and belted 80 home runs to go along with a .248 batting average. The offense was powered by Roy Sievers, who led the team with 25 home runs and 106 RBI. Mickey Vernon led the team with 162 hits for a .301 average.

The team allowed 789 runs and had a team ERA of 4.62. Mickey McDermott and Bob Porterfield were tied for the team lead in wins with 10. Dean Stone struck out 84 batters to lead the team.
