The 1955 Cincinnati Reds finished with a record of 75-79. They scored 761 runs and belted 181 home runs to go along with a .270 batting average. The offense was powered by Ted Kluszewski, who led the team with 47 home runs, 113 RBI, and 192 hits.

The team allowed 684 runs and had a team ERA of 3.95. Joe Nuxhall led the pitching staff with 17 wins and 98 strikeouts. Hersh Freeman led the team with 11 saves.
