The 1951 Cincinnati Reds finished with a record of 68-86. They scored 559 runs and belted 88 home runs to go along with a .248 batting average. Connie Ryan provided the power for the team with 16 homers. Ted Kluszewski knocked in 77 runs. Johnny Wyrostek led the team with 167 hits for a .311 average.

The team allowed 667 runs and had a team ERA of 3.70. Ewell Blackwell and Ken Raffensberger were tied for the team lead in wins with 16. Ewell Blackwell racked up 120 strkeouts to lead the team. Frank Smith led the team with 11 saves.
