The 1949 St. Louis Browns finished with a record of 53-101. They scored 666 runs and belted 117 home runs to go along with a .254 batting average. Jack Graham led the team in home runs with 24. Roy Sievers was the best run producer with 91 RBI. Bob Dillinger led the team with 176 hits for a .324 average.

The team allowed 913 runs and had a team ERA of 5.21. Ned Garver led the pitching staff with 12 wins and 70 strikeouts.
