The 1948 Pittsburgh Pirates finished with a record of 83-71. They scored 706 runs and belted 108 home runs to go along with a .263 batting average. The offense was powered by Ralph Kiner, who led the team with 40 home runs and 123 RBI. Stan Rojek led the team with 186 hits for a .290 average.
