The 1948 New York Yankees finished with a record of 94-60. They scored 857 runs and belted 139 home runs to go along with a .278 batting average. The offense was powered by Joe DiMaggio, who led the team with 39 home runs, 155 RBI, and 190 hits.

The team allowed 633 runs and had a team ERA of 3.75. Vic Raschi led the pitching staff with 19 wins and 124 strikeouts. Joe Page was the team's best fireman, with 16 saves.
