The 1946 Washington Senators finished with a record of 76-78. They scored 608 runs and belted 60 home runs to go along with a .260 batting average. The offense was powered by Stan Spence, who led the team with 16 home runs and 87 RBI. Mickey Vernon led the team with 207 hits for a .353 average.

The team allowed 706 runs and had a team ERA of 3.74. Mickey Haefner led the pitching staff with 14 wins and 85 strikeouts.
