The 1946 Philadelphia Athletics finished with a record of 49-105. They scored 529 runs and belted 40 home runs to go along with a .253 batting average. The offense was powered by Sam Chapman, who led the team with 20 home runs, 67 RBI, and 142 hits.

The team allowed 680 runs and had a team ERA of 3.90. Phil Marchildon led the pitching staff with 13 wins and 95 strikeouts.
