The 1946 Chicago Cubs finished with a record of 82-71. They scored 626 runs and belted 56 home runs to go along with a .254 batting average. Phil Cavarretta and Bill Nicholson were tied for the team lead in home runs with 8. The offense was powered by Phil Cavarretta, who led the team with 78 RBI, 150 hits.

The team allowed 580 runs and had a team ERA of 3.24. Hank Wyse was the winningest pitcher, with 14 games won. Johnny Schmitz racked up 135 strkeouts to lead the team.
