The 1944 St. Louis Cardinals finished with a record of 105-49. They scored 772 runs and belted 100 home runs to go along with a .275 batting average. Whitey Kurowski led the team in home runs with 20. Ray Sanders was the best run producer with 102 RBI. Stan Musial led the team with 197 hits for a .347 average.

The team allowed 490 runs and had a team ERA of 2.67. Mort Cooper was the winningest pitcher, with 22 games won. Max Lanier racked up 141 strkeouts to lead the team.
