The 1944 Cleveland Indians finished with a record of 72-82. They scored 643 runs and belted 70 home runs to go along with a .266 batting average. Roy Cullenbine provided the power for the team with 16 homers. Ken Keltner was the best run producer with 91 RBI. Lou Boudreau led the team with 191 hits for a .327 average.

The team allowed 677 runs and had a team ERA of 3.65. Leading the team in wins was Mel Harder, with 12. Steve Gromek racked up 115 strkeouts to lead the team. Joe Heving led the team with 10 saves.
