The 1936 Cleveland Indians finished with a record of 80-74. They scored 921 runs and belted 123 home runs to go along with a .304 batting average. The offense was powered by Hal Trosky, who led the team with 42 home runs and 162 RBI. Earl Averill led the team with 232 hits for a .378 average.

The team allowed 862 runs and had a team ERA of 4.83. Johnny Allen led the pitching staff with 20 wins and 165 strikeouts.
