The 1928 Chicago Cubs finished with a record of 91-63. They scored 714 runs and belted 92 home runs to go along with a .278 batting average. The offense was powered by Hack Wilson, who led the team with 31 home runs and 120 RBI. Riggs Stephenson led the team with 166 hits for a .324 average. Kiki Cuyler had a great year on the basepaths with 37 stolen bases.

The team allowed 615 runs and had a team ERA of 3.40. Pat Malone led the pitching staff with 18 wins and 155 strikeouts.
