The 1927 New York Yankees finished with a record of 110-44. They scored 976 runs and belted 158 home runs to go along with a .307 batting average. Babe Ruth provided the power for the team with 60 homers. Lou Gehrig was the best run producer with 175 RBI. Earle Combs led the team with 231 hits for a .356 average.

The team allowed 605 runs and had a team ERA of 3.20. Waite Hoyt led the pitching staff with 22 wins and 86 strikeouts. Wilcy Moore was the team's best fireman, with 13 saves.
