The 1916 St. Louis Cardinals finished with a record of 60-93. They scored 476 runs and belted 25 home runs to go along with a .243 batting average. Bob Bescher, Rogers Hornsby, and Jack Smith were tied for the team lead in home runs with 6. The offense was powered by Rogers Hornsby, who led the team with 65 RBI, 155 hits. Bob Bescher had a great year on the basepaths with 39 stolen bases.

The team allowed 629 runs and had a team ERA of 3.14. Bill Doak and Lee Meadows were tied for the team lead in wins with 12. Lee Meadows racked up 120 strkeouts to lead the team.
