10 WWE Wrestlers Suspended

by Erooster

First, let me say that I think that the WWE is an entertainment, not a sport.

With that being said, and the door being opened for the WWE on Armchair GM by other users, there is news out of the company.

On August 30, the WWE announced that 10 entertainers were suspended under the cloud of HGH. Although the company refused to announce the entertainers involved, the NY Daily News revealed the names of the entertainers. Randy Orton, Charles Haas, Jr., Adam "Edge" Copeland, Robert "Booker T" Huffman, Shane Helms, Mike Bucci, Anthony Carelli, John "Johnny Nitro" Hennigan, Darren "William Regal" Matthews, Ken "Mr. Kennedy" Anderson and Chavo Guerrero were all suspended in the investigation.

Under the company Wellness Program, entertainers testing positive for steroids and other drugs will be suspended for 30-days on the first offense, a 60-day suspension for the second offense, and firing on the third positive test. Performers are tested four times per year.

Should we collectively investigate the personal lives of all these wrestlers in terms of quantity of offspring? Seems to be a hot topic of "concern" lately...

Apparently in the "legitimate" wrestling world, participants have a moral cap on the number of offspring produced. FYI - we are still going at it on that Travis Henry b.s.

I think that it is funny. Sometimes, it is fun to get into arguments with you or Manny, just for argument sake. But on a serious topic, I try to leave that to those that don't know any better.

Anything suspicious that the only "NAMES" that were on the list were names that were on their way out anyway? Hmmmm

From what I understand...those on the list aren't on their way out. Those are the high profile stars that WWE are trying to keep. If they wanted out then they could get out.

True. WWE does not offload their top calibur talent. Too much of a risk they may travel to another promotion. Orton and Kennedy are in the middle of big pushes. They will not be suspended right now.

Oh their suspended alright. That was Orton wasn't there for the taping sunday. If you're gonna suspend them which they should because this policy has been in place since early 2006, then suspend them. Don't back down because they are in big pushes right now. They had to amend Kennedy's portion of the McMahon illegtimate child storyline because this.

was Randy Orton on the way out? I haven't been following the WWE lately but I thought he was still a popular character? guess I am missing out...or not

Nope. It was rumored that he may leave but he wasn't. Orton is just a loose cannon. He has gotten into so much trouble before joining WWE and after that I wouldn't care where he would end up.

Will it enhance them in their acting? Or stagefighting? Also, unless there are some strangely named wrestlers, there is not a woman in the list.

What pisses me off about this whole thing is that any other time when WWE has absolutely no drama going on people don't want anything to do with it but when tragedy strikes or drug use surfaces, people all on it... Quit the hypocritical bullshit. If you gonna consider WWE a sport then cover it like a sport. If not then let the entertainment sector handle the news but it really bugs my hide because I am a WWE fan that no one wants to pay attention to it unless they got some kind of negative drama going on.

Its not a sport...its athletic entertainment (or sports entertainment)...it requires a ton of athleticism and skill (physically) but isn't a competition... Its entertaining, but i view it much like any other dramady on TV...

I agree with JuT on this. I just reported the incident, but I in no way think of the WWE as a sport.

Dudes, those suspensions must have been for a day. Why? BEcause Randy Orton, WIlliam Regal, etc. all appeared to Raw last night.

Yeah WWE is hurting too bad right now with low ratings and asmall talent roster to suspend that many of their top stars.

They had to find a way to get rid of the character because of their presence in the storyline. Umaga lost the belt and then Triple H finished him off. Cena ended up destroying Regal. He's gone. Charlie Haas got his behind handed to him last night, gone. Kennedy is no longer the projected illegitimate child. Morrison lost his belt. I mean the ones that have air time had to be gotten rid of so there would be no discrepancies.

Steroids has become a problem in WWE, lets hope they put an end to this. It's bigger the MLB

But no one really cares about the WWE except for having something to report. MLB is way bigger because it is a "legitmate" sport. WWE isn't and I guarantee you that no ones cares about WWE as much as they do baseball.

These are the 10 that got busted in a court case. See, this is how the WWE tests. You take their test, you pass. You get in trouble in court, you get "suspended".

you are all a bunch of idiots...edge is on the injured list but still in WWE, John Cena is injured (look at the videos on WWE.Com.)and all the other ones on that list are to stupid for anyone to care about...but if any of you bothered to look at WWE.Com at any point...Just yesterday that announced that Chris Masters was suspended for 60 days for his 2nd offense and D.H Smith (who just started and is the late Davey Boy Smith's son) was suspended for 30 days for his 1st offense. Orton, Umaga, Mr. Kennedy, and Jr were all on Raw last night!

i see/herd Randy Orton took some ; but...... don't know now though ; just for takin the stuff ; he should be stripped of the belt for his punishment and thrown out of the wwe  ; some randy orton fans maybe some little kids ; what does that say to them ; so Randy is saying that it is ok to use steroids ?? ; gee some wwe champion ; who would have ever thought Orton would have used Steriods ; and how come/why is he still wrestlin in the wwe ; eugene was caught for having steriods in his gym bag and was fired on the spot ; and i bet my bottom dollar 80 percent or 90 percent of them was used by Randy Orton or some other wwe wrestler ; if a was a prof. Judge ; i'd throw the book at orton ; and give him the chair or Life in prison without a get out of free jail card ; The US Senate should and Vince should have a very very long Steriods Meeting in the works ; because little kids watch wrestling alot on TV/Paid Per View ; please send a message to the little kids there fans also in the USA and across the Country elsewhere ; terminate Orton's Contract/RELEASE HIM or strip him of his title belt
