There is no way Redick is 6-4. I would also add that every national announcer is so far up his ass they can see his tonsils. He seems to get all the credit for Dukes success. Take Sheldon Williams off that team and see how well they do.

Peano, there was an interview that JJ did with ESPN maybe two seasons ago where they interviewed him about how basically everyone outside of Duke hated him instensely, especially the fans at Maryland (I think was a preview for a Duke-Maryland game). JJ mentioned that someone at Maryland had gotten his cell phone number and passed out flyers with his phone number on it before a Maryland home game. Needless to say, JJ had to get a new number, becaus the next day he checked it and had like 200 new voice mails.

But the best part was when JJ got emotional during the interview when he was recalling that Maryland fans had chanted things about his sister, who was like 16 at the time. In repsonse, JJ wrote a poem about it. Not only is that bad enough, but he proceeded to read the poem during his interview on ESPN!! I think that might be a new #1 reason why JJ sucks.

Five reasons why we ACTUALLY hate JJ Redick:

5) His poetry. Seriously dude. Worse than 14 year old girl MySpace poetry about how much they loooove Fall Out Boy LOLw00t. Kinda makes him look like a giant vagina. That and when you factor in the fact that he plays like a giant vagina, it, well, makes him a giant vagina.

4) He plays for Duke. This can't be understated. Rooting for Duke is like rooting for the Yankees or Ivan Drago in Rocky IV. Of COURSE they win, they have all the McD's All-Americans and Coach K and exposure and talent and pedigree and cushy existence. Bobby Hurley, Christian Laettner, Wojo, Battier, Danny Ferry: These are the best players in Duke history, and it's frankly impossible to like any of them.

3) He possesses one tangible skill. Granted, he's quite good at that skill, but in exchange for his shooting prowess, he has utterly abandoned all ability to pass, rebound, play defense, block shots, box out, dribble through traffic, drive the lane (though I will admit he's at least improved in this area) or basically anything that's not "JJ Shoot Ball." It must be absolutely maddening to play with someone like this, who only works on and cares about one skill. Which leads to...

2) He's going to be utterly EXPOSED in the pros. I'm not saying he won't make the NBA, as the League is always looking for shooters, but all of this hype about him being a Top 5 pick, or a "great" pro is absolute BS. He's a niche player, like Kyle Korver or Danny Fortson. He is not, nor will he ever be an All-Star, and talk of such is just ludicrous.

1) Duke Fans. Now while I realize this isn't necessarily JJ's fault, the fact remains that there are few more annoying people on this planet than Duke fans. They're the kid in the back of the classroom asking for more homework. They're the guy at work who brags about how well his stock portfolio is doing, just because WalMart went up a half a point yesterday. They're the old woman who has far too many cats and shows you pictures of them at the supermarket for no apparent reason. Duke fans are, in a word, annoying, and their rallying cry has been JJ Redick the last few years. And it makes sense, as he's the stereotypical Duke Player, and therefore caters to the stereotypical Duke Fan. What do they all have in common? The emnity of all rational, free-thinking sports fans.
